Welcome to CanReview! We’re inviting researchers and research teams, and sponsors to submit or join pan-Canadian, multi-site studies. CanReview’s online platform, Stream, enables a single point of entry for researchers and sponsors and reduces the time and labour required to obtain research ethics approval.

CanReview is designed for pan-Canadian, multi-site, health-based studies conducted at any CanReview participating site. Choose from the options below to see if you are ready to submit or join studies in CanReview.

My institution is a CanReview participating site

To submit or join studies in CanReview, applicants must meet the following criteria.

For study submission: My study will involve a minimum of 2 sites from 2 or more provinces or territories. If your study will have participating sites in only one province and a single review system operates within that province, we recommend you use the provincial system for research ethics review.
For joining a study: The study is already approved in CanReview. If the study you want to join has received an ethics approval in the system, you are eligible to join that study as a participating site by completing a Participating Site Initial Application form.
