The CanReview Agreement is a multi-party agreement that establishes the legal framework for organizational participation in CanReview. The Agreement enables a consistent, transparent, and trusted pan-Canadian model for the delegation of research ethics review across organizations participating in multi-site health studies in Canada.
Canadian health research organizations seeking to become CanReview Participating Organizations are invited to sign the Agreement as a Recruiting Site, REB Host Institution, or both. This authorizes REBs and researchers to participate in the CanReview system.
The CanReview Agreement includes:
CanReview Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) that governs how organizations delegate and accept ethics review, meet CanReview requirements and share oversight responsibilities.
Stream Terms of Service that authorizes organizations to use Stream, CanReview’s online platform.
